Software Application Consultant

(Madison, WI - Headquarters)

Galaxy is seeking a dynamic and technology-saavy individual to fill an open position as a Software Application Consultant. In this position, you will work in a team environment to perform implementation and training, as well as ongoing support of Galaxy's enterprise-class workforce management software solutions. You will work at the company’s Madison (WI) headquarters and at customer sites around the United States. As a Software Application Consultant, you will report to the Director of Professional Services and interface regularly with Galaxy's Project Management, Engineering and Sales teams to complete system implementations and provide the highest level of ongoing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and define client requirements to create process documentation, diagrams and implementation specifications
  • Provide HR technology consulting services to new and existing clients at all management levels
  • Perform business rule analysis
  • Create and configure customer-specific SQL installation scripts
  • Perform GUI-based software application configuration
  • Provide remote and on-site client training (administrator, operator, supervisor and employee) on Galaxy software, including:
    • TimeStar Enterprise
    • TimeStar on Demand (SaaS)
    • HR / Payroll Data Interfaces
    • Custom Reporting and Utilities
  • Work closely with customers to optimize their applications through parallel tests and other means
  • Perform remote software support for current and recent implementation clients, including:
    • Modifying setup to support changes in business rules
    • Using software diagnostics tools to troubleshoot configuration issues
    • Retraining clients
    • Implementing and training for custom programming
  • Maintain and submit accurate and timely project time logs
  • Coordinate timelines, schedules, travel and project deliverables with Galaxy's Project Management team
  • Constantly strive to improve customer satisfaction and increase customer reference-ability
  • Perform other duties as directed

Requirements

  • Education and Training
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or related field with experience in system integration or the computer industry desired
    • Solid interpersonal skills to interface with co-workers and customers
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks to completion with minimal supervision
  • Technical Requirements
    • Software training and/or technical support experience
    • Business analysis and creative problem solving skills
    • Relational database and SQL experience (Microsoft SQL-Server preferred)
    • Technical-industry experience preferred, but recent college graduates will be considered based upon coursework and grade history
    • Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office productivity apps
    • Experience with web-based software applications
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience implementing payroll, human resource and/or time & attendance business applications is preferred, but not required. Successful track record of guiding customers through business application configuration and bringing implementation projects to closure on-time and in budget while exceeding the customer's expectations is a big plus.

We are currently, seeking experienced software sales representatives for various markets in the United States. Immediate need for a Madison, WI-based representative.

Responsibilities

This position involves providing our prospects, clients and business partners with labor management solutions using a proven consultative sales methodology. Galaxy Technologies exceeds customer expectations by delivering outstanding products with excellent service for an unmatched dollar value. Galaxy senior salespeople, known as Labor Management Consultants, assist customers as they quantify their business gaps and engineer a solution that allows them to best meet their goals. Labor Management Consultants work closely with Galaxy Management, Sales Engineers, Marketing and Professional Services. Responsibilities include qualifying prospects, conducting needs analysis meetings, assisting organizations with their evaluation plan and closing deals that result in high quality projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience with Human Resources, Payroll or Time & Attendance Software sales desired.
  • Experience selling enterprise software solutions at the C level.
  • Excellent time management skills.
