Marketing Coordinator

(Madison, WI - Headquarters)

Galaxy is seeking an energetic and dynamic individual to support its sales team in the areas of communication, marketing and New Media initiatives. This person will work closely with the company’s sales team and management to coordinate both traditional communications (advertising, presentations, proposals, events, marketing materials, lead and campaign management, PR, etc.) as well as New Media initiatives such as social networking, blogging, micro-blogging and SEO.

The Galaxy Marketing Coordinator will be a detail-oriented person with excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven organizational aptitude and experience with Web 2.0 technologies. The position will cover a lot of subjects but the planned responsibilities have been grouped into three major categories including; Marketing/Communications Administration, Events Coordination and New Media Initiatives.

Requirements

  • Work history, volunteering or coursework demonstrating your approach, aptitude and enthusiasm for coordination of marketing, PR and communications within a professional sales team environment
  • Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator - CS3 or CS4 preferred)
  • Proficiency with the entire Microsoft Office Suite
  • SalesLogix or other CRM platform experience
  • Hands-on experience with SEO, New Media and other Internet-centric marketing/communications/PR programs and techniques
  • Strong time-management and organizational abilities, with an attention to detail
  • Experience with Dreamweaver or other website development tools is a big plus, but not required
  • Clear and effective written and oral communication skills
  • An entrepreneurial, energetic and confident personality

Software Application Consultant

(Madison, WI - Headquarters)

Galaxy is seeking a Software Application Consultant/Technician. You will work in a team environment to implement and support company software and hardware solutions. You will work at the company’s Madison headquarters and at customer sites around the United States. You will work closely with the Professional Services Project Managers, Engineering and Sales Teams to complete system implementations and provide the highest level of ongoing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing data collection devices.
  • Implementing software in many environments.
  • Performing business rule analysis.
  • Configuring software applications.
  • Application training for customers.
  • Analyzing enhanced requirements and creating process documentation, diagrams and feature specifications.
  • Understanding and configuring software interfacing products.
  • Consulting customers on system configuration, industry specific features and system processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Prior time & attendance and/or payroll/human resource implementation experience.
  • Solid interpersonal skills to interface with co-workers and customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Database experience with MS-SQL.
  • SQL scripting experience.
  • Background in Web technologies.
  • Network administration (significant experience in Windows Server® 2000/2003 administration is a plus).

Experience implementing payroll, human resource and/or time & attendance business applications preferred. Successful track record of guiding customers through business application configuration and bringing implementation projects to closure on-time and in budget while exceeding the customer's expectations a plus. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field with experience in system integration or the computer industry desired.
